Randy Kuehl Honda Announces Plans to Locate at Edgewood Town Centre

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Randy Kuehl Honda has announced that it will be relocating to Edgewood Town Centre (ETC) along the recently opened Highway 100 extension. This lot was purchased by Ahmann Companies as part of the entire parcel that was put out for bid last year by TransAmerica and lies on the south side of the highway extension. Randy Kuehl Honda will begin construction early this year as the weather clears.

“It’s a great location for a car dealership because it has easy access from the highway and traffic counts that will only get higher as more people use the extension,” said Chad Pelley, business development manager for Ahmann Companies. “The opening of the Highway 100 extension will be good for all of the businesses in this area,” he said.

Earlier this week Fleet Farm,  based in Appleton, Wisconsin, announced the Cedar Rapids location along with a new store in Cedar Falls as part of a Midwest expansion plan. “We’re excited to be able to finally announce some of the tenants we’ve been talking to for the past several months,” said Jason Rogers, listing agent for Q4 Real Estate who is representing the development.

Plans for infrastructure are slated by Compass Commercial Services, the development arm of Ahmann Companies for early this spring. “By summer, we hope to be grading the site and getting ready to start putting streets in,” said Geoff Franzenburg, manager of Compass. “With Fleet Farm working to open by the end of the year, we have to have the entire site ready for customers,” he said.

Edgewood Town Centre is a $50 million, 54-acre development that will house a mix of office, retail and possibly residential homes. Q4 Real Estate, the real estate arm of Ahmann Companies has been working with additional perspective buyers for several lots in the ETC development so stay tuned for future announcements.
